Meet Brooklynn

From dancing to the Phantom of the Opera soundtrack at six months old to my efforts now as a private piano and voice teacher, performer, and composer, I have always had a deep passion for music. In my childhood I loved creating original songs which I would sing for anyone who would listen (mostly consisting of stuffed animals), and was elated to start piano lessons when I turned eight years old. I continued writing music, playing the piano, and singing throughout middle and high school, during which time my musical interest piqued heavily toward singing in choir and accompanying. I also found a joy for teaching piano lessons when I was fifteen years old and have been teaching in some capacity ever since.

My passion for sharing music through education and performance led me to study Choral Music Education at Utah State University where I studied solo voice and performed alongside countless musicians and ensembles as a collaborative pianist, as well as discovered my love for playing the organ. Upon receiving my bachelor's degree in music education, I began teaching private voice lessons and had the privilege to build a choir program at a brand new high school  in Idaho where I taught for three incredible years. My time spent creating music with so many wonderful students will always be a highlight in my musical journey. I now live in Orem, Utah with my high school sweetheart husband and our precious little boy where I teach privately from my home studio, sing with local choirs, continue to compose and arrange music, and collaborate with the Provo High School choir program as a pianist. Aside from teaching and my other musical interests, I enjoy reading, hand lettering, cooking, floral arranging, party planning, and dabbling in interior design.

Teaching Philosophy

Release your fear, unlock your potential, elevate your life through music.

I chose this phrase to represent my goals as a music teacher because I have witnessed and personally experienced the power that comes through studying, appreciating, and performing music. When we truly dive in and allow it to do so, music emboldens us as communicators, increases our confidence in our own identities, and empowers us to believe in ourselves in new and exciting ways. We all have untapped musical potential, and I find pure joy in helping students unlock and seize it. Music elevates our lives; it brings joy, communication, belonging, and a sense of drive and passion. I believe that students' natural love for music can be cultivated through private lessons and engaging with other musicians.
